The UK will soon see a new kind of bike: Gauswheel is here…

Is it a skateboard? Is it a scooter? Is it a unicycle? We’re not sure what “Gaus” or “Wheel” combinations are meant to mean (Although we’ve heard it means ‘MagicWheel’!) but we’re mightily excited about a new craze sweeping the nation: The Gauswheel.

Unveilled at the Cycle Show, Birmingham in September 2011, the GausWheel International Group presented their invention to eager eyes.

Described as a unicycle/skateboard/scooter hybrid, it’s a serious piece of engineering. Kids from 12 and onwards (and adults!) will have the chance to experience the thrill of ‘gliding’ on their GausWheel.

For more information, or to buy your GausWheel, head over to the Cycle Gadgets UK GausWheel pages. There is a video there too!

Can’t wait to see what stunts and tricks people get up to.

UPDATE: There’s more news about the Gauswheel in the Cycle Gadgets Forum!
